Give your old Computer to us and Turn E-Waste into Community Resources

The old saying that “one person’s rubbish is another’s treasure” has never held more true in our community today – especially in relation to e-waste. If you give your old computer, or any other IT goods to us, you help people struggling in our community.

Redundant IT equipment including pc’s, laptops, printers, unused ink cartridges, digital accessories as well as server equipment and hardware, are still a valuable resource for communities in need.

Wherever possible, and following data or identity erasure, B2C rebuilds and refurbishes your donated equipment into useful IT resources.  As a Microsoft Registered Refurbisher we offer Microsoft Windows 10 operating systems and Office 2010 on our low cost PC’s to individuals and communities in need.

Our B2C project successfully provides both environmental and social benefits to communities in a number of ways:

Social benefits

Refurbished IT Equipment

  • Refurbished computers and equipment are supplied to local and overseas communities where access to opportunities is limited by poverty or poor funding support. Our Sponsor a computer program enables us to provide computers to support requests from individuals and communities who are marginalised or disadvantaged. As a Microsoft Registered Refurbisher we are also able to offer Microsoft software on these machines.
  • Through our B2C Op shop we offer low cost computers with Microsoft Windows operating systems and Office software to low income earners

Environment benefits

We enable individuals and business who wish to donate redundant equipment or discard e-waste with a better environmental outcome, that effectively:

  • reduces the amount of IT waste entering landfill in Australia
  • reduces the amount of inappropriate IT waste entering overseas communities
  • supports the training and education of marginalised people through our B2C Social Enterprise
  • promotes safe and responsible recycling of e-waste and redundant IT equipment

In 2017 B2C diverted over 60,000 kg of e-waste from landfill

  • over 150 refurbished computers were upcycled to local individuals and communities in need,
  • over 5000  working systems were checked for integrity and resource value before distribution to approved local exporters for resale in overseas markets
  • our e-waste collection services saw more than 80 business and government organisations and more than 100 private individuals choose B2C Recyclers to manage their redundant IT equipment.
  • our e–waste drop off services were used by more than 300 people
